Naruto or Bleach, Which One is Better and Why?

The great Greek and Roman philosophers loved to debate back then, and the internet junkies love to debate today. It’s a human impulse – to debate. Saying “it’s a matter of opinion” doesn’t help because there always has to be someone who’s right and someone who’s wrong. People can debate for the silliest things and for years and years, the debate can drag on without having a clear winner. But that’s just the way things are. And you can’t deny it, debates are really are fun and we all love it.

The start of the new millennium signaled the start of two of the greatest Shounen anime series since

Dragon Ball Z – Naruto and Bleach. Both anime series have accumulated millions of fans worldwide and, as expected, to these fans, saying that both anime series are good and both worth watching is just not enough. They have to know which is better.

So,Rreally, Which is Better – Naruto or Bleach?

Naruto and Bleach have similar main characters. They’re about adolescent boys who are both special, both somewhat dense but kind-hearted and gutsy, both insanely strong and can go against the strongest enemies, and both have a tendency to trash talk but still be able to give inspiring speeches. But while the main characters are similar, the plots are different. While Naruto is about ninjas, Bleach is more like an anime version of Ghost Busters. Both have their own appeal to fans. And really, it’s a matter of opinion whether the fan likes ninjas or anything related to the afterlife better.

Similarities and Differences

The execution of these series’ storylines also differs. Naruto spends more time developing its story and its characters than Bleach does. And while the flashbacks in Naruto can get a bit dragging for some people, especially the ones who watch for the fight scenes alone, they do leave us with more three dimensional characters and a more detailed storyline. When things happen, you know why they do because there’s a background. The progression of the story is logical. Bleach, on the other hand, is one big mash of plot twists that, though entertaining, really are just good for the shock factor.

Humor-wise, both are great. Both can have you clutching your stomach and rolling on the floor in insane laughter. However, Naruto’s humor is somewhat slapstick sometimes as compared to Bleach’s more refined and natural humor. But then, you have to consider that the characters in Naruto are mostly kids and are younger than the characters in Bleach (not considering Shippuden).

The fight scenes in Naruto are way more interesting because it dabbles more in strategy rather than just the simple clashing of swords. However, because there’s much strategy involved in Naruto’s fight scenes, you also get to hear a lot of long and winding explanations in between fights and this is something that the some fans who are in for the action dislike. Bleach’s fight scenes are also great and action-packed but are rather repetitive.

One edge that Bleach does have over Naruto is that its characters get a change of wardrobe every now and then. In Naruto, we see the same costume each and every day. It’s as if the characters have closets- full of the same clothes.

But overall, I’d say that Naruto wins over Bleach because Naruto is much more emotionally engaging. The Naruto episodes can evoke so much emotion in you that you’ll cry with the characters, laugh with them, and even go so much as to really love or really hate some of the characters. Bleach sort of had something similar in the beginning but the storyline started to deteriorate and you start to lose touch with connecting to the characters. With Naruto even with Naruto Shippuden you're still able to ‘feel’, connect and understand the positions for the characters, and for me, that’s what makes a good anime. Not to mention that the storyline just gets better through each episode as you watch Naruto!

5 Absorbing Facts About Narutoverse

If you're new to Naruto then these are the 5 interesting facts that'll give you a head-start in Naruto as an anime and manga. For me, Naruto is like a role-playing game where you develop a single character to make him stronger and beat the ultimate enemy. These are the facts that surrounds Naruto in his growth to fulfil his dream to become the hokage which is presume to be the strongest ninja in the world of Naruto and is responsible to protect the village from any adversities and war.

So here are the facts about Narutoverse:

1. The Jutsus

The ability to perform various ninja techniques and works in proportion to the user's chakra which simply is their stamina. Jutsu also depends on user's chakra level in ninja rankings and their elements like wind, earth, lightning and fire. A mix of chakra elements would create a user's bloodline limit thus enable them to create a unique jutsu of their own. Take mangekyou sharingan as an example. Naruto is typically a ninjutsu user who possessed a wind element chakra.

2. The Ninja Rankings

The ninja rankings are at ascending order:

Genin

The lowest level of ninja achieved by graduating from the ninja academy which marks the beginning of Naruto's journey to become the hokage.

Chuunin

Similar to Genin but slightly tougher. This time, Naruto has to compete among shinobis from other villages and need to pass all 3 stages to become a chuunin:

a. Multiple Choice and Subjective Test

b. Survival in the Forest of Death

c. A knock-out tournament

Jounin

Is the elite ninja who normally plays a role in protecting the village and train their students. Jounins are typically like Kakashi, Asuma, Gai and Kurenai.

Hokage

The most prestigious position that Naruto strives for and still is. Is what motivates and drives him to achieve the Hokage title so that people acknowledge his strengths to protect the village from possible wars. It came from the word Kage and varies from village to another village, for instance, Kazekage controls the sand village.

3. The Villages

Hidden Leaf Village

The largest village of Konohagakure where Naruto resides and also where the chuunin exams are taken place. Undoubtedly has a significant influence among the five great villages. Founded by the first hokage by the end of the first war at the Valley End.

Hidden Sand Village

The Sunagakure plays a major part as an associate with Konohagakure. The relationship between the third hokage and the fourth kazekage broke down due to disagreement and mistrust. The Sunagakure also influenced by the Hidden Sound Village, also known as Otogakure. It is Orochimaru who plot this conflict and created a war between these two villages, Konoha and Sand. Though in the early part of the anime, Naruto's influence was less significant however as the anime develops, he become an increasingly important for relationship of both Konoha and Sand.

Hidden Mist Village

Located in the land of water where most ninjas posses water ( suiton ) jutsus. Notoriously known as the bloody mist village with seven strongest shinobis came from the village like Momochi Zabuza and Hoshigaki Kisame. Naruto and Team 7 involved in a mission in an attempt to save an old man from the hidden mist village. Both Naruto and Sasuke fought against Zabuza as part of their early obstacles.

The other villages play less significance in the world of Naruto such as Lightning Country and Earth Country.

4. Hotspot Locations

Ichiraku Ramen

Definitely Naruto's most visited place where he energises before and after intensive training. He eats and lives with his favourite ramen and in fact, he even kept a few packs in his room for breakfast and supper.

Ninja Academy

The school of ninja academy is where Naruto's life begins. It's where he learn and educate about ninja techniques, jutsus and even strategies. Though Naruto is not the type of person who likes to sit down and study instead he perceives ninja as the ability to perform powerful jutsus and winning the battle hands-on.

Forest of Death

One of the toughest place for any ninja to be in. Yet, it's the ultimate challenge for Naruto and other ninjas to prove themselves against the best. It's by means of survival and through perseverance and hardwork.

5. Key Characters in Naruto's Growth

Iruka

Went through the same pain as Naruto. Probably the one who understands Naruto's loneliness courtesy of the Third Hokage's advice. He's the one who graduated Naruto to become a Genin and accompanied treat Naruto some ramen at the Ichiraku Ramen.

Hatake Kakashi

More commonly known as "Copy" ninja Kakashi. Famous for copying other ninja's techniques and counter it accordingly in most situations using his sharingan. He guides Team 7 including Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke. He's typically cool, calm and ruthless among his students and especially on Naruto where he suffers the most during the Team 7 journey. Kakashi may be a quiet character but his analytical ability is top-notch and understood Naruto's background.

Uchiha Sasuke

His eternal rivalry since at academy level. As they grew up, both became more attached and at once Naruto started to treat Sasuke like his own brother. Naruto has always looked up on Sasuke as a yardstick therefore working extremely hard to achieve Sasuke's level. Both have similarities but different ninja abilities. Sasuke's aim is to revive his clan whereas Naruto aims to become hokage of Konohagakure.

Jiraiya

Naruto normally calls him perverted hermit which defies who Jiraiya is. His ability is to summon toads and perform fire techniques. He is the one who taught Naruto important and powerful jutsus like the Rasengan and unlock Naruto's Kyuubi power.

Yondaime

Also known as the Fourth Hokage of Konohagakure who prevent the kyuubi's attack by sealing into Naruto's body. Former Jiraiya's apprentice who entrusted his remaining jutsus to Naruto. His spiritual presence remains in most elite ninja's memory namely Kakashi and Jiraiya. Naruto's fierce determination and courage reassures Jiraiya that his potential might surpass Yondaime himself.

Uchiha Itachi

A rogue ninja perceived as a wanted criminal, who voluntarily works with Akatsuki organisation. Has a strange yet interesting personality especially when fought against Naruto. Itachi's purpose remains questionable to all Naruto fans.

The 5 facts are only the starting point, there are many point facts out there in the Naruto series, so start enjoy watching Naruto.

Male Vs Female Role Playing Games

First please note that this article is not saying that all women are one way, and that all men are another way. This is just an attempt to understand some of the statistical differences in the trends between the type of imagination games that women prefer as opposed to those that men prefer.

In order to understand the difference between men and women in role playing, all you have to do is watch a group of children play make-believe. If you watch closely you will notice that the boys are usually engaged in some activity in which something has to be accomplished. This can be a fight they have to win, a princess they have to save, or something similar. By contrast, the girls are usually engaged in a very social experience, in which the interactions between themselves and others, as well as the feelings of everyone involved, are more important than the goals being accomplished.

This carries through to the types of games that men like as opposed to those that women prefer. For instance, statistics show that there are 5 males for every 1 female that are signed up as members of the popular online role playing game World of Warcraft. That is probably because this game is a very mission oriented experience, in which players go around killing monsters for points to make themselves stronger, and gold, which they can use to buy better weapons, which allows them to kill stronger monsters and get more points and gold. There are social aspects, in that you can talk to other players from around the world, but these conversations tend to be mostly about how to accomplish the goal at hand.

By contrast, games which are marketed at women tend to be more social in their dynamics. One example would be the huge hit "The Sims", a game in which you control the everyday lives of a normal group of people. You can have them make friends, form relationships, break up, have fights, get jobs or any normal activity you would expect from an average person. In the game, there is no clearly stated goal. Instead the appeal is that you get to create and control social interactions between virtual characters.

The general consensus is that girls don't like role playing games. However this is more due to the fact that the term "role playing" was co-opted by Dungeons and Dragons, and turned into a largely goal based activity, i.e. kill the dragon, save the castle, etc. However this ignores the social aspect of the game, which is actually much more to the liking of most females.

In recent years the internet has made it possible for so many different types of role playing communities to flourish, that social based games are starting to become more prominent. Aside from character based forum role playing, you now also have fictional social networks, where members sign up as made-up characters, and interact with one another in a MySpace style website.

What Makes a Good Gaming Fan Site?

One of the first things you are likely to think about when setting up your fan-site is how you want it to look. A lot of gaming sites go for a dark background with white text, in the majority of cases this is actually a bad idea. Our eyes have grown accustomed to reading dark text on a white background and it actually takes more effort to read light text on a dark background. You want it to be as easy as possible for the users of your site to be able to read the content that they are looking for, or they might just leave.

Adverts are another big issue. If your site is completely plastered in irrelevant adverts that is going to annoy your visitors which is not a good thing. There are also additional factors regarding advertising to take into consideration, particularly when dealing with fan-sites surrounding MMOs, and that is that there are companies advertising that are detrimental to the game that your viewers are playing. An example would be Blizzards game World of Warcraft, there are companies that sell gold to players which is against the terms of use agreement. Not only can buying gold lead to the players being banned from the game, but the companies that sell the gold also frequently engage in bad activities to get hold of the gold that they are selling, such as hacking users accounts.

Unique content is the big factor to determine any websites success. If you are providing information that people want and they can't get anywhere else, your sure to be an internet success.

A community is also a common element added to successful MMO fan-sites. The obvious way to start a community is to use a forum, this allows people to talk about the game and share information between each other.

Pretty pictures and movies can also play a big part, in particular if the game has not released yet such as Blizzards Next-Gen MMO. People will be very interested to look at any screenshots or game-play footage.

Finally, embracing social media is also a useful practice. Sites such as Twitter and Facebook allow people to share sites that they like with all their friends, who in turn may also share. The better your content is, the more you will benefit from social media. If your content is really good your site could even "go viral" which can create mass amounts of traffic in a very short space of time.
